CFR 29 1910.151(b)
CFR 29 1910.151(b) is a federal regulation that ensures businesses are equipped to handle first aid emergencies. It requires that, in workplaces without close access to medical facilities, there must be adequately trained personnel available to administer first aid, and that appropriate supplies are easily accessible. This regulation also references ANSI/ISEA Z308.1-2021 for further guidance.
CFR 29 1910.151(b) states:
“In the absence of an infirmary, clinic, or hospital in near proximity to the workplace which is used for treating of all injured employees, a person or persons shall be adequately trained to render first aid. Adequate first aid supplies shall be readily available.”
